Nathi Agreed they weren’t just formed from thin air. They were formed in response to a widespread belief in victimhood as a human condition having an objective reality, and it doesn’t.
The objective reality is that human beings are born into an infinite variety of circumstances and also that we are conscious beings so it is up to us how we respond to these circumstances. We can either decide that we are victims of them and therefore helpless to do anything about our lives or we can say this is just how it is for me and work creatively with the circumstances just as they are in order to make a success of our lives.
To me the only sensible choice is the second one. AA and BBEEE have however legislatively forced black people to take on the status of victims whether they personally choose to be a victim or not.
Black people are the majority in our beloved country, how can we become a winning nation when, by our own legislation, we have consigned the majority of the population to the status of victims?
Our politicians fail us, and themselves, as they so often do, when they pass such legislation.
