Louis, I want to ask this question. This bugs me and is quite the line for me on voting for you guys are not.
Do you guys support making the grids independent, allowing any independent energy provider to make use for it to initiate competition, as it should be in an actual free market? Eskom (provided they don't go bankrupt thanks to debt and competitive forces) can still have the stakeholder scheme you speak of.
Or do you only support only having Eskom run the grids, and have the stakeholders, aka the voters, of Eskom make decisions on who will have access to the grid or not?
What if most stakeholders vote against opening the grids? This will subsequently cause Eskom to become a monopoly, disenfranchising entrepreneurs and it also goes against the very values of free market principles, which you guys so promulgate?
I am not attacking, just asking a question. If your stance is the latter, I apologise. ZACP is not the party for me then. I want actual free market supporting parties, not parties that promulgate "alternatives" to a viable free market solution.
